Thanks for stopping by!
I’m the Operations Manager of WBLS/WLIB, New York City, a company founded by the late, Percy Sutton. Kind of weird finally getting to work for company who’s station, WBLS was a major reason I chose this wonderful, but often insane business of radio! I still have no regrets.
My radio journey has taken me to some amazing, interesting Cities including Buffalo, San Francisco/Oakland (gotta give Oakland a little love), Detroit and New Orleans. Yeah; radio has a tendency to keep you on the move.
I was born in Jamaica, Queens New York and raised most of my life in Greensboro, North Carolina. I found my passion for radio through the college station, WNAA-FM in Greensboro on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University and spent a ton of my time as at WHOV-FM as a student at Hampton University. My first commercial radio job was at WOWI-FM in Norfolk VA my senior year in college, a great station still at the top of the ratings in the Norfolk/VA Beach Area many years after my time there.
I always liked to write (guess I had no choice growing up among a family of teachers). In fact I took a year off from radio to cover Top 40 and Urban Radio for Billboard Magazine’s “Airplay Monitor”. I had a ball but missed radio so I jumped back in!
I’m married with a young son and have a lot of hobbies! Travel, technology, African/World History, my piano, book collecting, model trains and international cuisine all peak my interest. And my musical tastes range from Bach to Hip-Hop and beyond.
